g56 in a 04.5?

i have a 2004.5 with an auto and want to swap to a manual. will a g56 work or what will i need to do to make it work? I cant find a nv5600 and a member has a g56 so if it'll work i'd like to purchase and get my truck back on the road asap. thanks

I don't think it will work easily due to the wiring harness you will need.

Hopefully Chris (cbrahs) will chime in. He was going to swap his auto for a G56 in an 06 and did lots of research. You may want to PM him about it too.

chris is selling his entire setup.... everything you need to convert an auto truck to manual. Not sure if his harness will work in your truck, but all the hard parts will. Check the classifieds - it's within the last few days.

i did talk to chris about his setup and he also is unsure due to wiring harness differences. i wish it would work because im having a hard time finding a complete setup to just swap over and i need a tranny asap, my auto no longer working
