fuel lines

Hey

I been trying to find a miss that i have sometimes,, it mostly start missing after a long drive ,like 4 to 5 hours then shut down for about 30 mins , on restart it will miss,, ok the ??? is , i was looking at the motor and grabed the number on injector line,, and what i felt is that it is pulsing but the other 5 dont,, is that right???????

I'm not sure how it is on a 12 valve, but on a 3rd gen there is no clamp on the #1 hp line. This line will normally pulse. I hope this helps you.

Is it a dead miss or just a little extra vibration? Do you have a manual trans or auto? Do you have white smoke at first start of the day and any rough idle then?

Hey

Its a dead miss, with smoke,, its not all the time mostly sometimes in the morning,, the last 2 times it happend is when it was run on the hy way at 75 mpr for 5 hours and was shut down for about 30mins restart, dead miss, truck shaking and smoke, i shut it back down waited about 10 more mins restarted and no miss ran great ??? only thing that was done to it was a new fca its a auto trans

I'm thinking you have an injector issue. Keep an eye on your oil level. If it starts rising, don't drive the truck. If you still have warranty left, go have a reputable dealer diagnose the injectors.

Hey thanks for the help,, i was thinking the same,, truck has 113000 miles on it so its all on me.
I will be looking for some new injectors and i am thinking changing out all 6

In the meantime, I would give it a heavy dose of Diesel Clean (silver bottle). That may help with your issue.
