fuel Filter water drain

Hello All,

How come my drain isn't draining? It's very slow took almost 10 min to drain when I changed the fuel filter today.

I did try to crack it open for a couple of seconds about a week ago, and it flowed nicely. I thought that fixed it. NOPE!!!

thanks Jamie

Did you have the top of the filter cannister open? That helps.

Sometimes it gets plugged. Open the valve and make sure you have something to catch the fluid set up and then just turn the key to 'on' for just a second and then back off. The pump with usually clear the plug.

Cannister was unscrewed all the way. My origional post should have read that the motor was running when I cracked open the valve... it flowed very nicely. Should I try that again?
