front axle info
I think my wheel bearings are going. Does anyone offer a non-sealed bearing assembly for these trucks, or do I have replace the whole spindle every time. I have 140000km on the truck, & that seems a little premature for wheel bearings to be wore out. Is this a common problem with this front axle? Its a 2003 2500 4x4.
mine went out at 227thousand km ,, it wasnt that loud when on its way out but ,, when it finally went i knew it ,, wheel was beginnning to lock up and thanx gawd I was in the town where my buddy fixes them. Thats why I dont like aggressive tires to much cant hear whats going on sometimes

You can do the free spin axle conversion kits then it uses cheaper common bearings

90,000 miles is a little premature. You cannot get separate bearings for it, you have to get the complete hub/bearing assembly, no way out, all the brands have them this way anymore.
I just replaced my left side and today will do my right side. Best price so far is $ 270 + shipping (each) OEM from a dealer online.
Advance Auto Parts has them for $ 270 also.
