No special puller nesessary, just a BIG hammer
The bearing hub tends to get fused to the steering knuckle from rust after a couple years of weather.
It helps to loosen the 12 piont bolts that hold it in and use an air hammer from behind to knock it loose. Others have mentioned driving around the block with the bolts slackend to break the bearing hub free.

Good luck, I've been there and know what your going thru.

Well, if you have the old one out when you go to put the new one in its a great idea to clean the knuckle opening with some sand paper or a wire wheel to get the rust and crap off and the use neversize around the opening so you'll never have a problem again!

Just had that problem, what a wonderful design.

Your best bet is to find yourself some M14 bolts that are like 4 inches long. It won't matter if the heads on the bolts are smashed in. It takes a ton of banging with a big mother of a hammer.

Good luck,

Not sure what you paid for a new bearing, this is the manufacture.

Can save yourself some cash

Im not sure if the new AAM axle is like the D60 in the 2 gens, but I pulled mine off on my 2000 by placing the head of a hammer imbetween the axle housing and the hub(I think, it's been a while, but if you crawl under there you'll know what i mean) and with the whole front end off the ground, start the truck and turn the steering wheel to whichever side is needed off. Power steering made quick work of the whole process.
