I have a fesh oil smell{not burnt} when I come to a stop after pushing the truck{ stop + go driving} This does not happen all the time, 2-3 times a week.
Dealor says that it is from the oil being only 800 miles since the change?? It is still happening at 1900 miles.

Has anyone had this issue?
p.s I CANNOT FIND ANY OIL LEAKS.

 

I have 26K on my 04 and it smells bad for 2K after an oil change. I quit using rotella because of the smell. I think that Dello smells worse than it did. It may have something to do with the update of the oil that occured last yeat.

 

I have 10k on mine.

Its normal. After a while, I just associated that odor with a fresh oil change. Some oils are stronger than others.

 

Yes, as everyone said, it's normal after an oil change for the first 1000 or so miles. Especially if you use Rosmella T like I do. If you use the expensive Chrysler brand I don't think it's as bad.

 

I put in 5-40Synth. at about 4000mi. I didn't get the smell.
