Fixed fuel leak-why a line to back of head?

Had a drip at the bottom of the bellhousing about every 1/2 second. It took me quite a while with a VERY bright flashlight to find the source. There's a fuel line that runs to the back side of the cylinder head between the firewall and head. It's secured with a banjo bolt, mine was barely finger tight. Tightened her up good and no more leak.
Now for my question, What the heck is that line THERE for??
Thanks,
Ron

but why would there be fuel there? wheres the passage from the injector.....the only passage to the injector is the tube itself. and if that dont leak where will the fuel go other than out the injector

there is a channel that runs across the injector bore and ends with the rear head line.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
A drilled passage connects the low pressure area between injectors and head where the lubricating leak of injector goes.
