A few trans questions

So, my trans was having some issues shifting from first to second... You would have to let off the throttle completely for it to shift...

I was told to replace the governor pressure solinoid...

So I dropped the pan yesterday, replaced the solinoid and installed a shift kit at the same time...

I am going to have to adjust my shift cable because it dosnt want to go into park... This is pretty common and I have read up on how to do the adjustments... I am gonna get on that here in a few minutes.

Now, my big issue is that the truck still wont shift from first to second... Should I have replaced the governor pressure sensor as well, or is there another overriding factor that can cause this.

The throttle cable has the proper amount of adjustment, and kicks down as it is supposed to once the trans is in the proper gear.

Any help would be fantastic!!!

Truck is an 03 2wd cummins with a 47re

Thanks!
