Engine cuts out at high RPM's

I just noticed if I really get on my truck (empty). The RPM's will hit about 3200 and above and really cut out bad almost stop the motor for a second but it runs fine up to that point never really noticed that before. I just turned 25000 on the od. Is it some sort of rev limiter or de fueling for redline?

No load goverened speed is 3300, and 3200 with load on motor.

You are just hitting the rev limiter, keeping you from damaging the motor.

Thanks, that makes me feel much better. The Autocar dumptruck that I drive at work does the same type thing but not as extreme. just wasnt sure if dodge did the same thing..
