Engine cuts out high elevations in od

97 auto bd trans had running out of fuel right after starting when parked rose up hill and when going over mountains at 4000 to 7000 feet in overdrive cuts out like for a split second. I then put in. Non od and it clears up. Took to sacramento shop new sender in tank cleaned breather in tank. Ran fuel pressure test. No leaks. Menthoned hose at rear of mtr did not change them. This issue started when new bd trans was put in. Shop. Has no idea what to do. Ive not chked running out of fuel issue after startup again. Not parked on hill. What iam i missing. May need to find shop who knows these proplems. I menthonef fuel overflow value. Shop says not issue. I menthoned hose on tank. They said plactic lines not rubber. Whats up with my 97 has 176k miles. Thanks in advance
