I post this in the high performance by mistake.

Newby here,
I have been reading quite a bit lately. Learned a few things. I'm not educated in the terminology or the lingo, but have learned a few things none the less. I have a stock 03. I am thinking of a edge juice with attitude for a programmer. I thought it would be nice to monitor the temps and boost, since I do not have any other gauges installed. Anyone with an 03 have any problems with the edge? I am concerned with my lift pump going bad, so I will order a fuel filter cap replacement with the nipple to check the pressure. Thanks for any advice.

Not to bash Edge, because I had an Edge J/A on my Duramax and loved it........but a buddy with an '03 put the J/A on his otherwise stock truck and was having all kinds of inconsistent fueling problems. Took it to a shop a couple times, thought it was injectors, CP3, FCA, etc. Unplugged the Edge and all his problems went away! Not sure of what the problem is/was as he hasn't even contacted Edge to resolve it.
They can't be all bad, because I see plenty of 3rd Gens running around with Edge's stuck to the dash.

 

I love my edge juice with the monitor. I havent had any issues thus far. Ive had he monitor freeze in extremely cold temps but no biggie. It does run a little hot compared to some products but its still an all around good product. I plan on getting the hot unlock when i get my new injectors back. The juice with attitude is nice because you can set the parameters such as low boost fueling. power level, what shows up on the monitor, and you can set the max boost and alarms for egts and engine temp along with other things. I think youll enjoy it if you get it. But i would reccomend gettting a cold air intake and 4 inch exhaust to see maximum performance from it. Just my .02

ps- i like the way the edge waits until your engine is up to temp before it effects timeing and duration. It starts at 130 degrees and once the engine reaches 160 degrees you have full timeing and duration adjustment.

Also, the filter cap from Genos with the pressure port is a great product. Its well built and worth the money. Just make sure you put the gasket off the old cap on the new one. Jordan
