E-Rated Tires
M-55
The M-55 is a great tire but Toyo just will not broaden the 17" sizes & us 18" rim guys have only 1 size to choose from 275 70 18.
wow! old thread...
had 285/75's in toyo open country ATs...was not impressed at all...
currently running 285/75 Nitto dura grapplers and love them so far...if they wear like some people have had them last I will buy another set!
both E rated

Been a great tire so far.
Id never buy another brand of tire for my truck..
Toyo Open Country MT's nothing can compare IMO. In Ottawa Canada we have extreme heat in the summer, and of course some extreme cold. This tire is top notch in all conditions. On ice and snow I am stuck to the road...no spinning or sliding. They are incredible and worth every cent. And I can get a good 45k on them too.

Ditto. Coming out of some 285-75-17 Toyo AT's which were indestructable and super strong,I'm duly impressed with their MT cousin. I had some initial squirrlyness which disappeared@ 1,000K. I would never take a chance with my 9000# truck( with occupant and 1800# wet camper) using 50 psi max load range D shoes. My similarly equipped 98.5 had nothing but flats, cuts and eventually a near catastrophic blowout with D rated Bridgestone AT's. I switched to E rated Toyos and problems solved. Way less tailwag too.
Hankook Dynapro RF10's and Toyo OC MT's get VERY similar reviews. Both get high marks. I think either would be a great choice. The reason I choose Hankook was the price was considerably better than the Toyo's.
