DTR brain trust?

Not my truck, mines in my sig., this is my son's, 06', 5.9 of course,,,, he's told me this has happened a couple of times, he'll be driving along and he says the truck will make a loud "pop" and then the truck will have almost zero power,,,,, he said he let it sit over night, then the next morning it ran fine.

A while back, under warranty, he had two inj. go bad and also the entire wiring harness burnt up going to the inj., maybe not to the inj. but had something to do with the fueling.

Does he have any modifications done or is this a relatively stock truck??? Popping sounds like draining the rail, but we need some more info.

Does he throw any codes or CELs?

How to check codes

key-on, key off, key on, key off, key on (leave on 3rd time and look in the odometer window. It will show codes if any and then display "done")
