Looking for a little guidance here.
A buddy's '03 6sp HO truck started having the dead/intermittent throttle issue. Appears to be the APPS going out. Got codes 2121, 2122, and 0633.
1st 2 are definately APPS related.
Tried to reset a couple tiemes without success, cleared codes, etc.
Pulled the plug off the bottom and cleaned the contacts on it. Cleared codes and did the reset again and it worked...for one run thru the gears and then threw the codes again, dead pedal, etc. SHut the truck off for a little bit, then when he took off, it worked fine all the way home.
Seems to me, the APPS, bell crank sensor, whatever you call it is just slowly giving up. If it was out of adjustment, it would be a more constant problem I think.
Who thinks the APPS is just bad?

 

Seems like you went though all the motions with the APPS.

Contact Timbo01 on this site for one of his aftermarket APPS modules. Cheaper than the dealer and better quality.

Great way to go....and saves lots of money!
Had mine for 4 months....got no APPS codes but all indicators pointed in that direction. Tims sensor solved all my problems!
