No I don't feel better, I let the situation get the better of me. I just have a hard time when people know they are being dishonest and trying to get others to validate the behavior so they can sleep at night.

There are tons of options as far as valve bodies and torque converters go. In my opinion.....I would be looking to Dave Goerend. I should say I WILL be looking to http://www.goerend.com/ . (mines showing it's age!) Small shop, small town values , from everything that I have read on here. Agree with the above statement though. Search the 3rd gen sections cuz there are a ton of them.

i've been following this thread and it seems strange to me that so many people are coming down hard on someone who is just doing what the ads for smarty, superchips, and hypertech are telling you to do. smarty advertises that it is undetectable and leaves no footprint- why... so that you don't get your warranty voided for using it! superchips and hypertech claim they won't void your warranty so go ahead and bump your hp 100-175 and just let your dealer pick up your pieces. one thing i'll say about bullydog is that they make no claims about footprints or warranties and make you read and accept a disclaimer before you can download crazy larry or disable your torque mgmt.

Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant
For all trailer towing or heavy duty applications it is strongly recommended that the factory fill rear axle lubricant be replaced with an SAE 75w-140 synthetic gear lubricant. Mopar Synthetic Gear Lubricant is of this type.
That is all I could find but I will look for additional info tomorrow.

Up to 2002 the Dana diffs were running:
Front Axle:..........The lubricant should have MIL-L-2105c and API GL 5 quality specifications Lubricant is a thermally stable SAE 80W - 90.
Rear Axle:..........The lubricant should have MIL-L-2105C and API GL 5 quality specifications. Lubricant is a thermally stable use SAE 90W.
Even in my old ram 1500 I ran the mopar 75-140. Run it in the rear of my 01 2500 too.

First things first... THEY CAN NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY! They can however DENY a Repair if and only if your additional hardware and/or software was the CAUSE of the problem.
Now, I ask you... did the Dealership in question completely dis assemble your transmission and diagnos EXACTLY what the failure was??? Once they did that can THEY 100% PROVE that the Bully Dog is 100% the cause of that Problem??? Until, the Dealership has done these things they CAN NOT DENY REPAIRS AS PER PAGE 15 3.1a!!!
Contact Bully Dog... they usually have someone working in their Warranty department that should be able to provide the Dodge Dealership with the information as to what the outlook monitor does and does not do!!!
Chrysler tried to do the same thing to me... I brought my truck in for a sticking injector and they were ok... then some dingleberry manager walks by and asks what is up, they told them what they were doing and he told them look at the Banks Power stuff, were not paying for this... Void his warranty... I went through the same thing with them... NOT ONE MODIFICATION by the Banks Power System could cause an injector to stick... I had to fight with them... but in the end they could not prove that the banks system caused it and they had to repair it under warranty, because as the Technician who worked on it stated... "sometimes they just stick!"

I still dont get it, why would you even go to a dealer with Banks Power stuff on your truck? Isnt it much easier to remove it and avoid the hassle all together?

Funny thing is, the same schmuck who told me my warranty was voided because of the Banks System, told me if I went home and took it all off (Highflow intercooler, 3" boost tubes, High Ram Intake, 4" cat back exhaust, straight through Monster Muffler, Six Gun Tuner w/ speed loader, and Power PDA) They would cover the warranty!!!
Knowing full well what I had in my truck... Out of sight out of mind???

So I called and told them the Factory had infact voided the warranty... they sent me to their Warranty office... the guy there laughed and said they get that all the time... He was the one who informed me of my rights as a truck owner and what warranties do and do not cover...
With that said... I told the dealer... I understood that If I changed something and it was directly repsonsible for the problem I wouldn't expect them to cover it... But the problem I had would have never been caused by the Banks Power System!!!
And no... See above listed... took 8 hours to put it in... Not taking it out for service!!!

Now back to this guys tranny... He may have fried it... but if it can be fixed with a new Valve Body, I have a question... What does the programer have to do with the Valve Body??? That is a Fixed mechanical device... if it failed I don't see how a PROGRAM could have caused that failure... So in that instance shouldn't it be covered??? Now the Torque Converter... yeah... You fried it!!! Just saying the Dealer should figure out what caused the failure before denying Warranty coverage!!! That is what I would fight for.....

It's reasonable, imo, to expect warranty coverage for parts that cannot be affected by any installed modification-- like the example of no starter replacement with the aftermarket tuner.
Yes, some dealer techs really are knuckleheads that only know how to unbolt things and obey a computer. But other techs are worth their weight in gold (even at today's high gold prices).
If you trans is slipping and you have increased the power of the engine, you aren't entitled to warranty coverage, imo. It's no different than gettting a new clutch at dealer expense with a bombed truck. This is something that an owner should reasonably be responsible for.
But if there's clearly no correlation of cause and effect (i.e., your aftermarket headlight bulbs voided your injector coverage), then I'd fight for warranty coverage-- as you're entitled to.
I thought it was hilarious that the lead poster was complaining about HOW the warranty was voided-- as if saying "I'd understand if these guys knew I increased my engine power and voided tranny coverage, but they voided it just by looking at my dash monitor, and that's not right!" Haha. If it wasn't so aggregious, it would be even funnier.

they did not disassemble the transmission. and as for bully dog there tech service sucks take 30-40mins to get someone on the phone and when you do they want nothing to do with helping they say the outlook does nothing to warrent but yet they wont give me nothing in writeing in a e-mail or anything and refuse to contact the dealer on my behalf. in my opinion stay away from bully dog
Could i just be haveing a valve body and torque converter issue or are the internal parts in the tranny screwed up?
the problem is im getting code p1756 and the truck seems to struggle on hills in 1-2-3 while towing but once it locks up im fine im guessing thats the torque converter screwing up, second i got a shutter shift between one and two and if im in third about 30-40 mph and i hit the pedel to downshift it slips real bad. the code reads theres a problem with the govener silonoid but would that cause my problems?

Well if the governor pressure sensor and solenoid are indicated by the codes, and the tranny fluid isn't burnt I'd risk getting these two parts from the dealer and install them myself. Keeps you from some hassle about warranty etc.
If the tranny fluid is burnt or you find a lot of debris in the pan - rebuild time.
The governor solenoid would cause a lot of the problems you describe- shudder shifts and not quite shifting where it should can lead to you thinking that it slips.
