Question Cruise control.

I have read the previous threads and got some mixed comments .

I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 with 5.9 L . it has a GT tuner and cat back exhaust, turbo has some work intake.nothing to wild.

i installed cruise control switches. the cruise light comes on . but it does not work. i bought the switches new. Any advice or good direction for trouble shooting

I take it that cruise was not standard in the vehicle? Is it a ST model?

So, you just installed the switches in the steering wheel and that was it?

I'd have to do some research, but I'm wondering if some other stuff wasn't needed to make that happen.

Yuma, huh? I just left there. Sorry for you, man.

Cruise working.

I had to go move a Car so i went to U haul to pick up a car hauler. he told me my Brake lights were out. i checked some things found the brake switch was not working. installed new one, and just for grinns tried cruise control it and it worked. so if the brake switch it out your Cruise will NOT work. makes sence... Thanks for your Quick Response.

Glad it is working now!!

And when you move here to Texas you will most likely have no issues with the state inspection. Most places will not look under your truck because it is a safety only inspection. If windows are tinted make sure it's not darker than 25%. If it is just roll down all the windows, I hear some will over look them!

Yeap, it won't work if you brake light switch is out. Dodge uses the same switch to cancel the cruise when the brakes are depressed.
