If you can get hold of a Sonnax parts book from your local REPUTABLE trans shop, Sonnax makes a cooler line fitting that will eliminate your problem. The fitting extends past the crack and seals in the bottom of the thread bore.

This crack is a common problem with the RE/RH cases because of the large bore and thin casting in that area. Just pull your fitting and install the Sonnax fitting, your done.

I will try to get that part number by this evening.

I saw your a very experienced trans builder i have a question for you. I just installed a transgo kit, wish i knew about sonnax i saw they sell a kit but my shift indicator is off by a gear so when i go in park the cluster says reverse. So how do i adjust this? Do i adjust the line thing under the steering wheel? I played with one of them two ago when taking my friends totalled truck apart.

When i went for a ride it didnt drive well either i had to give it alot of gas for it to go, i am not sure yet if it was low on fluid since it was leaking alot of if i installed the kit wrong. I drilled two holes for firmer shifts and enlarged the one hole it says for the plowing which i do. Any ideas on what may be wrong? One thing i thought i may have done wrong is there suppose to be a spring on each side of the accumulator or just the one fat one? I didnt when putting it together it said to replace the fat one and said reuse the other long one but i didnt have one and it said some trans dont have 2.

That is the correct part. Sonnax makes them for a reason.
