Cracked injectors while running a Triple Dog on an 06 CTD?

Been reading about a lot of guys with cracked injectors lately, and I was wonderin' if anyone with just a BDTD (no stacking) has had a problem with cracked injectors on an 06 CTD.

Inquiring minds want to know .

Not sure if the bully dog adds pressure or not, but id be more worried about the other boxes that add pressue...
Typically timing/duration boxes arent as "aggressive" without stacking a pressue box, or one that adds pressure/duration/timing.

BUT with any aftermarket product theres always the problem of warranty
You could putt around with the BD on the lowest settings, and might have an injector issue, then be kind of up a creek after they see the box has been on your truck...

bullydog to my knowledge does not add pressure due to the fact it does not plug into the rail sensor.

I don't care as much about the warranty as being broke down on the side of the road on a vacation trip.

Nothin' more embarrassing as your whole family setting up camp on the side of the interstate .

Just curious if I'm in a group of guys who should really be concerned that I'm in jeopardy of ruining my engine.

Anyone else with a Triple Dog?

I was just tossing the warranty thing out there, I know alot of guys either dont know, or dont care. I dont really mind either, I know if you play, you pay.

I have had the Triple dog on my '05, dont have it on currently, but ill probably load it again sometime soon, havent had any issues with it...

Crazy larry adds pressure

I have a BD Triple dog for sale, i traded my truck saturday so its for sale. I ran it for probably 65,000 miles, mostly on the performance setting and i had no injector problems. i replaced a lift pump when the truck had 71,000 miles on it. not sure if that was from the triple dog or if it was just a bad lift pump

It's a downloader so it doesn't plug into anything (except the OBDII port while you're programming the ECM).

The injectors are going to be working overtime anytime you start adding more fuel with any box/programmer. If you're really worried about it then the best bet is to keep it stock.

I have been running my triple dog for 15K miles and have not had a problem, I even ran crazy larry before I stacked mine. I have had my rail pressure gauge since stock and have not noticed a difference in rail pressure on any settings while using just the Triple Dog.

I put the xzt on mine to get some mileage that never really showed up except maybe on the highway. I am going back to stock (see motor dropping oil) after this injector deal. I know the box might not have been the problem but the motor has plenty of power as it is.

does the smarty increase pressure? and can you run just a smarty or do you have to stack it with something?
