I have an 04.5 HO 6 speed. At 33k an injector broke and filled the crankcase with diesel. #5 injector was split popping off @5000psi. Since it has been fixed it has had an occilating sound. The other day @ 55k same thing, diesel all in my oil and that mixture pouring out the blow-by and getting all over my truck. They replaced injectors 3 and 4. 4 was split? and 3 looked like it was fixing to break? I don't know how you can tell that but anyway. Now the motor does not have that occilating sound. Has anyone else had this trouble? I run an Edge box ECD1000C. I tried the ejd3000a but the truck did not run and pull as well. Thanks, Chris

 

Well, anything is a possibility, but folks have been running the EZ for years now and never a word of cracked injectors. Just to be safe, I would probably look for something else that is duration only maybe?

 

Pressure box + stock HPCR injectors = BAD news. Period!

Too many problems for it to be an isolated instance. Run it on the lower settings and team it with a timing/duration box and you will have a lot better results. Either that or some high dollar tips that won't crack under the higher pressures.

 

Your running a pressure box designed for the SO/HO engines and not the 600's. The earlier engines run at a lower rail pressure than the 600's. With this box set to kill it will damage the injectors and or pressure relief valve.

You have the wrong EZ box.

You need 1000D, not 1000C, which is for the 03-05.

1000D is for the 04.5.
