not in the tank unless the dealer fix has been installed under warranty work. his lift pump(04.5) is the little black canister that is mounted vertically to the back of the fuel filter.

A 04.5 should have the lift pump on the filter canister

The 04.5 and 05 trucks are virtually identical, except that 05's have the fuel pump in tank from the factory. 04.5 trucks still had it on the fuel filter housing.

Also the early 05's had the plastic intercoolers until DC finally realized that was a big mistake. Then later 05's went back to metal intercoolers.

Yea, I know I had the plastic garbage and blew it up when I hit 36 psi one evening with the wife beating up on ricers. I blew the doors off my bro-in-law's Mitsubshi Eclip with a six banger in it. Now I've got a Banks intercooler, I must say it's SWEET!!!!

know that i know the setup.
how do i go about figuring out why lately its been hard starting.. sometimes (only 2 times) 6 cranks to start..lately its been 4-6.. use to be 2 MAX..

fuel filter has been changed .. no mods to the fuel system.

i run Drews Brew in it.

46K on the clock.

im looking at the GDP Walbro Kit but if my stock fuel lift pump or CP3 is going id rather get it replaced in warranty before i modify and install the GDP kit.
