Codes

Does anyone know what that cofde (P2372) is? I just went out and checke again. The two codes that come up are 23 72 and 61 00. Not sure what they could be but the truck acts like it was a lift pump. Any suggestions?

I think I posted the wrong codes. Sorry about that. The ones that did come up when I checke properly were:

P0514
P0628
P0837

I would assume the second one has to do with the lift pump. I am not sure what the first one means, but it is -15 where I live. I am also not sure about the third one. The truck is in 4x4, is that what it means?

What are you driving?

I check four website and none of them had any of the codes. Have you tried an OBD II code reader?

A litte birdie told me.

Actually I got them off of madelectronics.com. You can download their instruction manual and in the back there's 4 or 5 pages of nothing but trouble codes.

Well the truck is at star and they are installing another lift pump. This time the in-tank fix. In the national capital region of Canada they do not give courtesy cars, instead you have to rent , but they only charge you cost . The long and the short is that the closest lift pump is in Winnipeg, Manitoba (1500 miles away) and it will take 3 to 5 days to ship . So when I spoke with the dealership I told them that since I have to pay for the rental how about I pay for overnight courier instead as then I will not have to rent for 3 to 5 days, but only one (I guess I was being too smart). The dealership told me that because the part is being shipped from Chrysler Depot, it has to go to Montreal first and then back to Gatineau ( where the dealship is), and my paying for overnight courier was not negotiable. This shipping route is like going from Las Vegas to L.A, but stopping in New York on the way . By this time I've had it so I wrote Chrysler a letter asking them if it makes business sence to them having me pay for five days of renting a car or letting ME pay for overnight courier and getting my truck back the next day? Well, I have not received a response yet. I thought the reply can only be either yes or no, but you know how MOTHER CHRYSLER is .

An hour later I got a call from the dealership's part manager and he told me that he was doing inventory searches in various dealerships in Eastern Canada and he found a lift pump in Toronto and he purchased it from them and is having it shipped over night at the dealer's expense (It seems to me that dealerships are working much harder at this customer service thing than Chrysler).

I just hope the in tank pump has better reliability that its predecesor.

I don't think you would find an english Canadian that thinks Gatineau is included in the National Capital Region of Canada.
Good luck with your truck.
