Clicking noise on the right side

I had the windows down on the truck this morning and heard a dreaded clicking noise as I drove through a parking lot and onto the neighborhood street. The clicking did coincide with speed. It also went away by the end of my couple mile trip home from the dog kennel (after lefts and rights and stops and bumps, etc). I'm thinking it's a Ujoint but I guess I need to find out which one.

Mine is doing the same thing. I too am leaning toward the u-joints being the culprit.

Jack it up, turn the wheel full lock one way, then the other while spinning the tire. You will hear a grinding noise from the side that is bad.

here's something. I have the 1 ton dually and the front hub cap trims are plastic (duh.) so the little clips that seem to make up their ridiculas snapping retention feature tend to break off, (not just one or two, but every last one!) and they "click" when the tire rotates. Makes me so mad...
If you have a hub cap and can time the rotation to the noise, take a look.
I had one hub cap on a tuck that did that click and squeak noise thing and it was rubing on the tire of all places.
Spent about 2 hrs chasing that noise. Don't you just love trucks?

Hmm, I did pull the caps off last week when I took the truck in to rotate the tires. It's possible - I'll check it out. Thanks!

Yup have had hub caps click, u-joints click, and bearings click...

FYI, when I bought my '07, U-Joints got changed in the first week. Thought it was a bearing problem. Same deal though, when pulling into the neighborhood and passing a wooden fence with the windows down I was embarrassed at all the racket I was making. When chasing the problem down I couldn't verify that they were bad until I pulled them out. Mine were simple, but I have heard some horror stories about removing the the hub assemblies to get them out.

Can the hub caps make a squeaking noise at slow speed?
