clearing codes

I went to start my truck this morning 50F outside the check engine light came on and I got this code P0071 ambient air temp sensor, so I got out my superchips programer and cleared the code. I'm thinking this was not a good idea. I've been driving the truck all day with no issues or new codes. My question is the follow;

1. if I clear the code and its really a problem, will the code show up again?
2. Since I've cleared the code and it hasn't come back on, was it really a problem?
3. I programed the truck back to stock and plan to taking to the dealer in the morning. Will they be able to check this problem without the code showing up since I cleared it?

The p0071 code can be set for a number of reasons, most of which a relatively harmless.

It could be a dirty sensor or just a one time glitch.

If the codition that caused the code is still present it will come back. If you cleared it and it did not come back then the condition is no longer present.

I would not worry about the particular code unless it comes back or you see other codes with it.

I throw codes all the time with various boxes/downloaders and mods. I just try to determine what caused them, but clear them and if they don't come back I don't really frett over it.

Just my .02.
