Check it out - catalytic converter material & is that a resonator?
So that what it looks like.... pretty brittle.

Whats that second muffler, is that stock? Looks like someone added a resonator.

Isn't that stuff in the cat worth money???

I *think* that's a resonator after the muffler. But don't quote me, I've been wrong before!

My '07 QC/LB has a resonator, but it's toward the back of the truck, where the bend goes up/over the rear axle.

That catalyst is made by Corning Glass and is baked in a huge oven on trolley cars that pass through a long oven. It is a fascinating process to watch

Doesn't it have Platnium in it as well? Remeber a news story about thieves stealing Cats to recycle them for it.

That's a mega-cab only part, and is a resonator. I have one on my truck to quiet the exhaust brake down, works great!
