Carrier bearing going bad. What about a 1 piece drive shaft?

I have read a bit about 1-piece drive shafts for the Dodges. Those who have done the mod on a 3500, how do you like the results? Seems like an awfully long drive shaft for not having any intermediate support. How about ground clearance issues? How does it handle a heavy load? Has anybody had any bad experiences to tell? Are there any particular things to avoid?

Never mind. Found some good threads. Should have searched more before posting questions. Sorry. Admin, you can delete this one.
