Question C Code 67 35???

Guys and Gals,

Took the truck up to the Arctic Circle this weekend for a saturday outing and had something interesting happen... On the way back down after hitting a violent washboard section at about 50mph on the Dalton Hwy the Check Engine light came on, all vitals looked to be fine (dash + att), with no change in performance. Got home and pulled the code with the reset button/key method and got a C (not P) Code 67 35.

I havn't noticed any change in performance. Only thing I can figure is something vibrated funny and set the code. After three off/start cycles the light turned off.

We were lucky, no flats and no broken or chipped windsheld... just 4 hours washing the truck...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The Instrument Cluster Code definition is:

67 All door unlock output circuit shorted to ground or voltage

The second number is the number of key cycles since the code set. I don't have a clue what exactly set it. I can never find the diagnostic and trouble shooting for Instrument Cluster codes in the set of manuals I have. Probably a hard bounce jarred something and set the code. Not sure if these will clear with out DRBIII tool.

I'm not positive about this but I don't think the instrument cluster codes set off the check engine light (CEL). Plus that code originally happened 35 starts ago which was probably well before your CEL went off.

Turn the ignition key on/off/on/off/on and see what you get in the odometer window. Those codes will usually set off the CEL.

P2149

Ok, did the on/off x 3 and got a P2149, inj bank 2 low voltage...

Found many posts with this my hope it was just the extreme vibes from the lovely Alaskan highway that did it. I will check the Juice connectors at the injectors tomrrow when its not raining and just hope it doesn't happen again.

Thanks!

I get the 67 and also 66 code now and then. I think it must be loose wiring within the door locks or something. Goes away after enough successful starts.

But what I have noticed also in relationship to my doors. Some times if I am not close enough to the truck and I use the FOB to open/unlock the doors. I hear the buttons go up but when I open the door, alarm goes off. It is like it only does one thing and not the other. I try to pay attention to see if the lights blink when I hit the button to unlock.

Still stock alarm system and FOB and I do know they have a short range so not really a problem but scares the crap out of me when I open the door and everything start making noise... LOL
