Breather tube

My dealer keeps telling me that it is normal for it to leave one drip when the truck is turned off.Does any one else's do this.My truck is a 05 2500 6 speed.It has done this since day 1

the breather tube will drip a little... it isn't a 100% efficent system of removing oil vapours from the crankcase.. not all the oil condenses and keeps in the engine. some will come out the vent tube..

anyone ever put a oil catch can on a third gen?

Is it true that the catch can off an 2000 will fit? They had one will it work?

They ALL do it.Have since 1989.They used a catch can for a while but it usually turned into a nasty mess.Look at as your truck is ozzing Cummins power.

I've got two customers that I have installed the bottle on. Just zip tied it to the starter wire and service it when they come in for oil changes.

I've never had oil drops on the driveway yet... knock on wood.
Even if you get a few, it's still far better than what a powerjoke leaves behind.

what if you got some thing like this

Stef's Over flow Tank

im thinking about doing the bottle thing for a few weeks just to see how much comes out and then i might get this catch can.
