With a Boycott of Chrysler what?

How hard will it be to get parts for our trucks if Chrysler goes away and no more Gubbermint bailouts?

I've spoken to several service managers, parts are getting hard to find right now. I know of one dealer in TX that has been waiting 4 weeks for a replacement 68RE. There was talk of the parts departments going back to cores on warranty parts (mostly just tossed up to now) for remanufacturing.

It won't be to hard especially for our trucks, might be for the gasers though. Most of the part made for our trucks are made by suppliers that supply to other company's that are doing just fine. As for the quote about having to wait 4 weeks on a part, thats nothing new here in Texas at some of these dealerships. On my first tranny I had to wait 8 weeks on it to get their when it was only a thousand miles away, and just the other day at another dealership(better; Elder Dodge) took the truck in for tranny work and was expecting a week or so to get done they got it out same day for a transducer govenor solenoid and band adjustment!

And as far as I know Cummins and Bosch are doing ok(main parts in our trucks)

The Chrysler workers arent on strike, the company has closed the doors until the bankrupcy is finalized. Hopefully when this is all settled all the laid-off workers (ME!) can get back to work!

Where I work we really need for Home Depot to get busy again so they starting buying more of that orange forklift you are riding around on!!!

You guys are one of our biggest customers and when you get slow it really hurts us.

Ive been playing Mr. Mom since the first of the year. The honey-do list has gotten considerable shorter, Ive had a lot of fun playing with my 3 yr old son. However, I am SOOOOO sick of Dora and Spongebob!

I caught an episode of Dora while sitting in the airport . There is no way I'd let my children watch that liberal adgenda garbage. I had a hard time not breaking the television.

haha grown men watching shows like that... i watched sponge bob one time when i was about 12. i think i lost 90% of my ability to comprehend and problem solve. after that day and now i have to be reminded what foot goes before which! when i was young loony tunes and bill dance were all i watched.

after yardbirds and expo closed i thought i was going to be out of a job with in a couple weeks. just wait till july home depot forecasts a large jump in sales. at least on the west coast.
