Block heater cord issues "HELP"
Block heater cord issues "HELP"
I plugged my truck in for 1hour today to make sure everything was working properly for the season and when I went to unplug it I burnt my fingers on the plug. This can't be normal. This has never happened before. What do you guys think is going on before I burn my truck or house down?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
Was the engine warm?
Most common cause of hot plugs is blade corrosion. Clean them good with a fine emery board and spread them a bit. Some dielectric grease won't hurt anything either. It'll help keep the corrosion down in the future. I'd also clean the receptacle of the extension cord too.
