anyone have a 03 model bad lift pump?

My truck is 3000 miles away from being out of warranty. I know my lift pump will die soon, probably 25 miles after warranty expires. I'd put a bad one on just so I could get a new one and keep my old as spare but I need a bad one. Anyone got one cheep of free?I'll pay shipping. If yours goes out try to get it from the dealer if they change it.Say you want to look at it or something and see if they give it up. Or if you've changed it yourself.

I think its a creative way to get what you should get anyway. I am pretty sure the old one gets bypass.

Yea... now that I think about it I shouldn't do that. If it goes out I'll replace it with the in tank stlye.

When one of these goes out and the truck is out of warranty, anyone know what the dealerships normally charge for a new install? Also, what the cost would be for the intank upgraded one?
Thanks

The lp is part of the 7/100 engine warranty.

Not all of them go, mine lasted about 40,000 km's, but there are lots of high milers that haven't failed.

I seem to remember somewhere around $700 if you have to pay for it. If I had to pay for one I would look to the aftermarket instead.
