I would take it to a shop that specializes in gears and axles and have them look at it. Other wise the ARB is the best, and one of only a few available for these rear axles.

Lots of folks are happy with the performance of the LSD, so it sounds like something is amiss.

The easy fix is to lightly apply the brakes, which will help transfer power to the wheel with traction.

Once you figure out how it works, it's a good setup and works great IMHO.

Yep, it is a gas/brake timing & driver issue using the brake to engage the LSD then continue. The truck has to be allowed to idle forward, light touch on the brake to sync both axles then easy on and go with both. Most folks like to gas it out of the gate which is why one tire peel outs. I learned this on my Chevy with the G80.

My 2c worth... and I've done this several times on an incline.

1) Facing uphill. Right side in grass, left on asphalt. Right side will always spin.

2) Turn around. Face downhill. Right side on asphalt, left in the grass. It'll burn the rubber off the right rear in reverse.

3) Does the same thing with both tires on asphalt in cases 1 & 2.

I always joked that the idiots at Dodge must have put the thing in upside down. Either way, it's complete crap w/o 4wd even when the ground is dry.

Ditto.... i've had Dodge, and a really good indy shop that I trust check the axle and it's per spec as designed.... CRAP!!!! Even if feathering the brake did work - how the hell is that supposed to apply in real world driving? Do you do this as you drive thru snow / ice / mud etc.??????? Sorry to rant - I just don't like this design.

I use it when off in the mud. But I'm also pretty quick to go into 4hi too when off the pavement. I don't like tearing up the ground if I don't have to.

As for on road driving, I've never considered the LSD to be any kind of assistance or tool.
