When you remove the V/B the accumulator piston and spring may fall out, just reinstall it and use lots of Vasoline to kind of "glue" it in place. The vasoline disolves in the fliud when the trans warms up. When you disassemble the shifter linkage you may lose the detent ball and spring so be careful! When it comes time to reinstall the detent ball and spring use a zip strip to hold the ball in the compressed position. when everything is back together cut the zip strip off and your good to go! Good luck!

Its not to bad of a job I did mine last weekend. The only thing I wish I would have done different is leaving in the stock throttle vavle spring, there is a note in the instructions, to keep the shift points the same. I think it would be a great mod with the shift kit spring if I towed everyday but since it is my daily driver I don't like the way it holds off the shifts under light throttle.

Mine is going to the local trans shop to be installed. I don't want to make any mistakes.

I had intended on doing the same thing. I fubar'd a band adjustment and said screw it just do the shift kit, and adjust the bands. Come to find out, the whole trans was shot. Anyways, long story short is a full build later I have a pretty sweet transmission that puts the power down and shifts a million times better. Had my stock transmission been good to go, I think I would have been VERY happy with just a shift kit but this is even better.

Either way, I wouldn't hesitate to have someone "trained" do it for the right price. Or, just buy a valve body and put that in yourself.
