I have had a couple of issues with my truck that have been kind of pre-diagnosed. I know its a diesel but an unusual ticking that goes away after a minute or so, some hard starts (wont start on first try, have to try three times sometimes before it will start), an unusual rattle when de-cellerating. These issues have been kind of pointing towards a injector problem.

What I just had happen was weird. Drove to a local store and was inside for about 2 minutes. Came back out and started the truck. It started fine but had a real high pitch whistling noise. I also noticed that it sounded more like a 12V than a 24. Drove around the block to the house and after about 2-3 minutes it kind of went away. Shut the truck off and restarted it and the whistle was still there but not as noticeable. I only have 12000 miles on the truck and have never heard it like this before.

Any suggestions or comments???
