Wow! what a great idea. How bout a Thread where we can communicate with some of the best Cummins techs in the country, If they were willing, and we can figure a way to determine their rating as being the best.

I guess in your attempt to be funny, you just decided to leave out the part that says "ONE OF the best", kinda subjective I guess but I think it's safe to say he knowns more about our trucks than 99% of the kung-fu keyboard masters here. How many of you can say that you have actually been trained by Cummins?

At any rate, you guys can take what you want from that Cummins link. I saw nothing to tell me what type of engine they are refering to, it does not list the ISB as a platform for this system, nor did I know that used engine oil and 2 stroke oil were identical? Also, I have never heard of this system being used on a Dodge application. I guess I learned something today.

If you guys will ease up on attacking me for a second and re-read what I wrote you will CLEARLY see that I said I add a small amount ot 2 stroke oil to my fuel. However, that doesn't not mean I feel comfortable telling others that it's 100% safe and you are causing harm to your engine if you don't. It may be 100% safe, but nothing anybody has said here proves that.

Wasn't trying to be funny. The idea was to get more than one involved. What would be funny is having the one best tech trying to answer everyones questions on the forum. He would be busy. I also add ashless 2 stroke in small amounts and it seems to make my truck run smoother.

You guys need a beer. I use 2 stroke and PS together, like 1 pint of each per 30 gallons of fuel. The 2 stroke makes me feel good about the lubricity of the fuel, The PS makes me feel good about keeping the injectors clean. Just my .02

O.K. Make mine a Bud. I use the 2 stroke and Hows meaner cleaner. 4 oz. of each per fill up for the same reasons. Seems to make the engine run smoother and the MPG has gone up.

my in town driving mileage has gone down by 3.5 mpg after low sulfur fuel change last winter. it has not gone back up.

if adding two stroke oil will restore mileage. I'll give it a shot....

It won't restore your mileage. I see no mileage gain with 2 stroke, but it makes me feel better about lubricity and it's cheap. My mileage has stayed about the same with ULSD. If you think about it, how can 16-32 oz of 2 stroke per tank increase mileage, makes no sense.

It's hard to explain but here is my fuel reports... I started using 2 cycle oil about 86K-87K miles...

As you can see I still have my down days but I'm gaining ground over the 16-17 MPG stock now I'm up to 19-20 MPG with 2 cycle oil...

hey... I'm giving it a try. costs are little if mileage gains can be found.
no chance of damaging motor, so no downside that I can see.

When I first started using the 2 stroke, I was at the truckstop. I pulled out of the way of the other guys filling up and was thinking "what in the world am I fixing to do?" Of course one of them came over and asked what I was doing, and I told him that I was putting 2 stroke in the fuel. He was obviously skeptical about what I was going to do also. I would say within about 10 miles of driving on the new "concoction" I noticed that the engine was running significantly quieter than it normally did. Also, seemed to not be laboring as much, don't know if it is actually true, but it just keeps running like a well oiled machine. Like I said earlier, I also put in an equal amount of PS with the 2 stroke for the "just incase" on the injectors. To me, if it sounds better it must be better, and I do notice a little increase in mileage.
I'm going on a trip from OKC to Lake Fork in TX on Sunday, and I'm going to take some calculations on this testing and am going to see what kind of mileage I can squeeze out of a 65,000 mile basically stock 05 4X4.
