From the specs this is a octane booster and cleaner designed for gasoline engines. No mention of diesels, I would pass and use something that's formulated for diesel fuels.

Like Mikey B said it looks more like a gas product so I would not use it in my truck.

I use high grade outboard motor oil.....it helps lubricate the injector pump. General opinion is that ULSD does not have enough lubricant.

I started putting some old cheap 2 stroke oil in my fuel lately. I was unaware that there are some 2 stroke oils that are NOT formulated for diesel??? I thought basically all 2 stroke oil was the same for the most part. I seriously doubt that there can be that much difference.

I also asked my Cummins tech if he thought it was good to run this oil, he said it was probably not a good idea as it could gum up the injectors over a period of time. I just thought I would add that since I have not been able to find Cummin's official stance anywhere. Also, I have decided that I will keep running a small amount of 2 stroke oil. My truck seems to like it. I don't measure the amount, I have just been putting in a few ounces (maybe 3 or 4) at fillup. My exhaust has more of a "diesel" smell now.

Two stroke oil with no other additives is fine, I run 32oz of TCW3 (ashless) every other tank.

You like dumping Naptha (Zippo lighter fluid / Coleman camp fuel), and paint thinner (mineral spirits) in your tank... No good on fuel system...

Seafoam is NOT recommend it diesels being it mostly alcohols/solvents.
http://www.seafoamsales.com/pdf/MSDS_SFTT_US.pdf <- MSDS sheet from Seafoam itself...

Well here we go... I've been mixing my fuel at a ratio of 128:1. That is 1 oz of oil for every 1 gallon of fuel. My MPG's are rising, my HP/TQ number a good and high, and my engine runs much quietier.

I started using 2 cycle oil at about 87K miles I went from 16-17 MPG's to 18-19 MPG and heading toward 20 MPG's!!!!

As for the dyno...

So if 2 cycle oil is so bad why are all my numbers good??? If you want more information on this PM me and I get you set up...

I'll ask this question again, why would you add oil to your diesel fuel?

TOO HELP LUBRICATE YOUR PUMP. then ULSD has less lubrication in it that the old stuff did. your basically just supplimenting the fuel to help lubrication of fuel system

Thank you for answering my question.
Didn't Cummins makes these engines compatible with ULSD? So if I have problems then the warranty should take care of any issues that might arrise from not enough lube to the fuel system rite?
