All my old 6 injectors read 0 ohms on meter?

I took out all 6 of my injectors. 3 or so had bad build up of carbon on tip. all read 0 on ohm meter. i guess thats probably spec and why i didnt get a code?something inside could of been cracked to? who knows i guess.I hope this is the problem. all my valves looked snug (have to do valve set anywyas) and none looked dropped. All were level. Coolant level was ok (plus my smoke was raw white fuel). Push rods are all str8.Ill throw in some new bosch or flux injectors and do valve set. ill let u guys know how i make out.

I think he means set valve clearance? He sure uses some strange terminology for being a self proclaimed diesel mech.

cause you won't get a code for a mechanical problem with an injector (not all the time anyways). don't mean that you don't have one that is cracked or failed internally.

Sally ive been following all your threads with interest because i recently got all my injectors replaced. (under warranty thank god!) im always curious how things work and go together. i think only one or 2 were a bit faulty. it ran good still but idled like crap kinda on the 1000 rpm auto idle.
Right now i work on old diesel tractors from the 40s and 50's but they're a totally different ball game than these new motors. maybe someday ill get brave enough to work on them. would be cool to put 4 valve/ cylinder heads and common rail injection into one of my old IH tractors
I chat online and tend to use short words. but i usually try 2 catch catch myself from doing it too much in forums. l8r

shes runnin going now. millage is crap it seems. even before and after the new injectors. used to run 17/18 (IMP galon) pulling the trailer loaded or empty. the other day it was about 13.5-14) used to avg 22 empty, now its around 18. maybe its the cold weather and thinner fuel. and idelig to warm up etc.
