06 Battery Meter All Over The Map????

06 Battery Meter All Over The Map????

Hay guys, my 06 on cold start up's in the morning my truck will idle way down drawing the amps clear down to 8 and then run back up to 14 and back and forth until the truck is warm.. Even when the truck is plugged in??? Any ideas???

Yup. Normal. Those grid heaters take a lot of juice.. Once mine warms up it stays at 15 amps too. I'm not sure that's good but it's been fine for 3 months now.....

Those grid heater pull a ton of power. After I installed my lights I took a quick drive to test them out. It was a cold night and the truck hadn't run for several hours. So I pull away and head down the street, flip on the lights, and about 2 seconds later the grid heaters comes on and kills the engine!

hmmm even in 15 degree weather when we had the snow storm a few weeks ago I would start my truck turn on the lights and my amp powers on its a 1000 watt xtant and my trucks never acted like it wanted to die.

anyone know why his would die??
