Air & Fuel Filter ?'s

Hi,

I'm Pretty New To The Website, But So Far Really Impressed. I Have A Couple Of Questions About My Newest Dodge, I Have Been A Dodge Man For As Long As I Can Remember, Anyway I Was Curious To Know If You Guys Could Tell Me How Often To Change My Fuel And Air Filter The Dealer Told Me Every 50,000 On The Air Filter And Every 30,000 On The Fuel Filter But Thats Seems To Be Alot Of Miles. Does Anybody Know The Correct Amount Of Miles??? I Have A Dodge 3500 Diesel 5.9.

Good place to get em is www.genosgarage.com. On your fuel filter get the 10 micron which is 14$ something and the stratapore fleetgaurd oil filter. They mail them right to your door and alot cheaper than the dealer. They are good to work with.

I replace fuel every oil change @ 10k miles and clean the air filter at the same time wheather it needs it or not( usually does)

reason for changing it that often is that a $18 filter that is half clogged is robbing the inj. pump of fuel cost me an injector pump $1750 worth of shop bill on my last truck. not to say that it would not have gone out anyway it but it only had 150k miles on it but who knows . there is notheing wrong with preventive maint.

Doesn't matter what anyone tells you to do. If the factory warranty is still active, whats called out in the owners manual is the only thing that counts. If you do the service yourself, log the miles and keep the receipts for everything.
