6.7l Cummins

Well, it looks like sometime in 2006 we will get a new Cummins in the Dodge.
The 6.7L is essentially a stroked 5.9L.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

6.9L...in duallys only...medium duty motor being used in mexico, if we can get it to pass emission req's.....

You are correct!!My good friend and neighbor who is a product design eng.for crysler called me last night and told me he had just viewed the 6.7 cummins in the 2500 and 3500 series trucks.The 6.7 cummins will be in the 2007,s this fall.coobie

i was just saying another rumor running around is that the new 6.7 will be a v-8 and not an I-6. so i was just wondering if u knew or not

stroked 5.9, that would be a step in the right direction, just the opposite of Ford & Chevy, a long stroke engine should make tons of torque down low, if they make it available with a 3.20-3.40 diff. ratio and a decent overdrive trans. ratio, it should pull good at around 1700-1800RPM at 70MPH, & put out some decent MPG (HINT HINT DC, HINT HINT)

Boy you got that right. These trucks need torque and a decent rear gear ratio, not more screaming rpm.
