What brands of pumps have you tried? I'm guessing that companies other than Mopar make them.

Is your truck lifted with large tires?

Yeah, 5 is a bit high.

What is failing in the pumps? Especially the first one. Saying going in for the 5th one isn't saying anything. Maybe your first one wasn't the first to go bad.

If there's junk in the lines, did you flush them to ensure the "chunkies" didn't run through the new pumps and ruin them too? Its happened before.

I am going to suggest that you remove the Power steering box also along with the brake booster.
Have them flushed and then put back on.
Have a look at your hydro booster, The round thing on the brake master cylinder. Have it tested for correct operation.

No lift, I have 2957017 on stock wheels. The dealer is having to replace them, they have used new OEM flushed and new lines, They are ??? as well. I have had the transfer case go out, the air cond. this truck is a LEMON I need it for work, so down time kills the money in pocket. Is there a way to get out from this truck? I bought it used from a volvo dealer with 75K on her it only has 82K Thanks

I just killed my pump too. I believe it was from adding power steering fluid intead of ATF+4 like the book calls for. I thought it was DC just trying to sell fluid, but the guy at my local part's store said he used to be a tech for DC, and I killed the pump by adding ps fluid. It wasn't bad until I topped off the fluid last week. Who really know's for sure. But it is something to consider.

Are you sure ATF+4 is being used in the system?
