48RE won't shift out of first

My truck doesn't want to shift out of first gear. I was all set to replace the governor solenoid, and the pressure sensor after reading several posts in the forum. However, all of the TSB and member descriptions said it was at light acceleration. I give mine full throttle, light throttle whatever and it doesn't want to shift from 1st to 2nd. It doesn't hunt or shuttle back and forth. Speedometer works and when going down hill it shifted when speed got up to 30 mph. after that it shifted fine then came to a stop sign and it started again. I went to 3,000 rpms and I backed off accelerator and it shifted into second. 100,000 miles on trans. Any help would be appreciated. When I drove it home last night it was fine. Then this morning can't get it to shift. Fluid is oK.

Thanks! problem solved

Thanks for the input. Replaced the governor solenoid and the pressure switch and truck runs great. Couldn't afford the upgraded solenoid so I purchased the "new" oem from ElectricalAdvantage.net Their prices are great and parts received were new and in the box. Shipping only took 2 day to get to me. They carry lots of transmission parts for a good price.

I have exact same 1-2 shifting issues.

Wondering if you tried manually shifting from 1-2 with gear shifter?
Mine will not shift manually, not sure if solenoid will fix that or if something else is wrong?

frenchy,

When mine was doing that, it would not shift manually either. I replaced the sensor and solenoid and all was well again.
