Tranny won't shift out of first at all

I know there was another thread along these lines, but mine tranny won't shift at all out of first. It was fine with no problems before this. Any Ideas??? I just had a new one put in about 70,000 miles ago.

Replace gov press sol and transducer. Service tranny also.

If it will only shift out of first when you COMPLETELY let off the accelerator it could be that the 1-2 gear band is broken/lining is gone/ or needs adjusting. I've also heard that replacing or cleaning the speed sensor unit SOMETIMES fixes this problem do due metal shavings covering the sensor (which is a magnet)

What are the chances that the tranny is completely shot? We are gonna try some of the fixes mentioned in this and other threads, just had a really rough year and wondering if this is gonna be a total replacement.

Mine was doing the same thing about a month ago. I didn't have time or space to mess with it so I took it to a tranny shop.
$2700
They replaced the solenoids, upgraded the drainback valve, changed all the bands replaced the speed sensor, put in a billet torque convertor and some other things I don't remember.
It runs very different now. I was getting some lag between startup and when the tranny would engage, that's gone and the shifts are much more positive. Not hard or jarring just a good solid feel between gears.
