2500 04.5 or 3500 05 DRW ????
2500 04.5 or 3500 05 DRW ????
I currently have a 2004.5 2500 CTD but have an itch for a 3500 DRW. My 04 has the SB and the 3500 would have the LB.
My question is to any of you guys that have made this move, any regrets?
I love my current truck. I have about 20K miles and no problems, none of the common problem that many of you have had, I even get pretty good fuel mileage, 17 city, 20 hwy. I just like the look and performance of the DRWs.
Any input will be appreciated.

The question is do you NEED it or do you WANT it?????
Things to remember, NO more car washes, you must wash the Dually by hand.
No more drive thru's, most don't allow for the length or the girth. trust me on that one, my father had his drivers side rear fender torn off at the dirve thru
No more parking up close to the stores in the mall, because you need 2 spaces long and 2 spaces wide to park so be prepared to walk from the end of the parking lot.
and when it come time to buy new tires,OH mY Gooodness, let's just say $150X6 vice $150X4
Hey you can forget about parking it in the garage also, it's too long and too wide.
Remember those side streets you use to take, NOT any more your too **** big now.
OK
is off now.
Go ahead get it and enjoy it. I'm waiting on the 06's and will trade up then, besides I want the built in Generator and the 6 speed Auto

Duallies are coooool and you get used to all those drawbacks but unless you're towing a whole lot I'd stick with what you have. I had a dually before my current truck and I am very happy with what I have now except for the fact that it is only 250hp and not 325hp....Unfortunately I've wasted, I mean spent, too much $$$ on it now to trade it in...
I like mine, you just have to get used to driving it around. I've drove 18-wheelers when I was hauling construction equipment and junk and got good enough to drive just about anywhere, so the dually isn't hard for me to get around in. Just use your mirrors alot. Not being able to get in a car wash sucks, and buying tires definately sucks even more, but it's worth it in the long haul. I can get in any parking space that is at a 45 degree angle, the 90's are a PITA unless you can back into it, depending on how the parking lots are made. Just get some nerf bars incase you are a little close to someone. That way they'll hit the bars with their door. I wouldn't trade mine for a SRW, but I would like to fit bigger tires on it. If you pull alot, the duals are better for pulling loads b/c you have alot more stability on the rear.
DRW
I have been driving DRW's since 1989 of one brand or another. I love my DRW. In 1997 I got a wild hair and thought that a hvy dty 3/4 would do for me towing my horse trailer. Big mistake. Kept it for 6 months and traded back to a DRW. I will always have a DRW. Fun to watch the cars that think that they can out handle you on a good curvy stretch and when they look in their Rear view and see nothing but grill they are really suprised to say the least. Love it.
