Radiator hoses normally last YEARS on these trucks. The factory coolant is a 5 year.I still have original hoses on my 1998! Reminds of a Farrier(horse shoer) around here.He has a 1995 GAS Dodge 1500 with WAY over 400k.Its needed a auto trans and a rear axel assy.I think a motor last year.etc.Its a ROUGH truck. In conversation someone asked him about his Dodge and he said 'Well its been a little disappointing, think I'll try a Ford next time.I about spit my coffee up and he and the fellows standing around said WHAT to me. Told them that was the funniest bull crap remark I had heard in a LONG time.Wonder how long he warranty's a horse shoeing to last.

How do you know if the "blend" door is out which sounds to actually be the recirc door. Mine can idle a week and never make any heat it seems. Course it's in the teens too these days, but I have to drive highway speeds for a long while before it has heat in the cab. She's a cold blooded beast I swear.

Something is wrong. I idled for 3 minutes this morning, drove a mile, and had 120* coolant temps. In 5 miles I had 170*. Mine is all back roads, low load, 45-50mph tops.

Maybe the thermo is sticking. I had half a notion to put a 195 in there to help out, but I don't want high temps while towing my 5th wheel in the heat of the summer.

i love my 06 but my 05 has saved me..the 06 broke on the first trip i used it.. front axle seal went out, since then its been down hill.
i dont like the way they have the wiring on the 06.the pmc..deal . had all kinds of probs with it.rear seal went out right after 100,000 several tranny probs.. the throttle actuator valve is junk. i'v had prolly 5 in the 06. just had all 6 injectors changed and truck lost power and fuel milage as dropped alot.
head lights go out then come back on when ever they want ,started with driver side but now both sides do it. to many probs to list.. but i hav a buddy that his 06 has been problem free.
