2006 3500 dually RPM gauge ?

2006 3500 dually RPM gauge ?
My RPM gauge is all over the place.
Idles at 100 and goes to 3,500 no rhyme or reason.
Can I fix this or is this a dealer issue it has 126k on it so no warranty.

Do a search on here and you will find lots of info on this, very common issue, you can fix it yourself too, I cant believe it took so long for yours to screw up. I am sure some others will post the links to fix it for you.
