2" Spacer Removal on a 2006

Has anyone taken out the 2" spacers blocks from the bottom of the spring pack and moved them to the top to get your 5th wheel level? If so how much pin weight are you putting back on the truck? When you load your 5th wheel up does your truck sag a lot?

I tried to remove the 2 small blocks under the springs to lower the rear by 1". I thought I could seperate them but after beating on it for way to long, I gave up. Do they come off?

No I didn't take apart, all I did was take the U-bolts off and lift up the spring to clear the axle and beat on them. Stupid question I have.... Do I need to totally take the springs off the truck and put on the bench just to take the small blocks off? Thanx

You have to pull the single bolt that ties all the springs together tight, center bolt under the cap held-on with the U-bolts,**** you were almost there.lol

If you look around in here you will find a thread with pics, very simple just move spacer to the top and put back together, only problem is when you remove rear brake caliper bolts wont come completely out of the caliper, still comes off though.

Thanks so much guys...I saw that link a while ago but I could not remember where I saw it.

Can someone tell me the torque values on the U-bolts and the bolts that go through the springs and spacers?

Thanks

If you play by the rules, ubolts are not reuseable.

OK, where do get new U-bolts, from the dealer or just order them locally?
