I use stanadyne additive and run amsoil 15w-40 in my 2004. I have 78,000 miles and have been getting 22 to 23 mpg regularly. I have never tried twocycle oil in the tank. What does anyone recomend, and do you think it would help?

I've used 2 cycle in 6 tanks now and can certainly tell the difference in both ease of start and smooth/quiet motor. Not sure on any mileage difference but my truck is one that seems to love the stuff. I am kinda cheap, so I mix at a 200:1 ratio. I've not noticed a difference between 128:1 where I started and 200:1.
I'll switch to B5 once they start making it available again this summer (they don't offer B5 in the winter here) and quit using 2 cycle until the B5 becomes unavailable again next winter.

Has anyone tried non-detergent SAE 30 motor oil, instead of TCW3?
I know that TCW3 is made to lube and burn, and I would guess n-d SAE 30 only lubes.

Now I'm using 1 qt. of Wally Worlds finest, Super Tech 2 Cycle Oil (TCW3) per tank (20-25 gal.)

Yes I've read of some who use 30 wt Non Detergent oil for lube. My thought is to use what ever works of you and your engine not what someone else thinks.

I use Walmart 2 stroke oil too, but recently I had a second thought since it's blue color, it does give fuel a different shade. I am worried to get "dipped" by DOT and look like I am running dyed fuel.

Anybody has some info on this ? I know the majority is red, but it can be blue or green.

I any case keep the fuel receipts with you to prove you are not cheating.

I did use ND30w before switching over to TCW3 a couple of years ago. Didn't have any issues but only ran it for two years or so before switching.
