2 Cycle Oil + Diesel Fuel = WOW!

This is the ONLY additive I have ever seen a difference with...

Mileage went WAY up (2-3 MPG)

Quieter

Idles way smoother....

Thanks for the tip on adding it!

Its my new additive...

Any good brand, but stay away from the red tints if you live in farming country - make sure it's ashless, guys, 1/2oz per gal prolly max ratio - it's formulated for combustion chamber service, and a really great lubricant for your P7100 and VP44.

Remember - there's a lot more BTU in a quart of 20wt than in a quart of Diesel fuel - fuel mileage should increase, fuel economy prolly will go down.

How's that stack up with your mix, DB?

That doesn't make any sense.

Good point, dude, nor does it make any cents -

Fuel mileage is how many miles per gallon - fuel economy is adding the price of the 2-stroke oil, and other additives, to the price of that gallon of Diesel fuel

On the other hand, add in the price of a replacement IP due to ULSD damage from lack of lubricity, and...............

I used about a quart...

I'll toss in a gallon next time...

Prolly don't want to do that, DB -

1 - your IP is calibrated for a definite viscosity range, which includes the various mixes of Diesel fuel and kerosene, but does not include pouring increased quantities of motor oil into the tank

2 - Diesel fuel requires a certain cetane rating to combust efficiently at ~17:1cr - adding more motor oil will dilute that cetane component in Diesel fuel, requiring even more additional cetane booster to compensate.

3 - you can price youself right out of the Diesel economy ballpark by overplaying the additives game.

Max mix of 1/2oz\gal is 20oz\40gal tank - plenty suitable for the intended purpose.

any bad sideffects? Is it a good additive for this new ULSD garbage? I usually run AmsOil additives cuase they are the only additives that I can tell work. Truck runs better, quieter, way better fuel economy but its not as easy to get ahold of as 2-stroke oil.
Any risk of it clogging a filter quickly? Will the truck smoke more?

No additional smoke and will not clog filters at suggested mixtures, is excellent substitute for lubricity removed in processing ULSD - I use it in addition to Power Diesel Service cetane booster in the Dodge and the GMC.

The P7100 is lubed with pressurized engine oil, so the additive oil lubes the plunger assemblies as they pump fuel.

Diesel fuel is the sole lubricant in the VP44, so the added lubricity is extremely important to continued operation.

Same goes for any of the rotary injection pumps where the fuel is the only lubricant
