100K mi. and still on OEM brakes and rotors
at 55K miles I bought the original replacement front pads from Dodge and took them home to replace them. I took off the front tires and the thicknesses of the pads looked the same as the new ones. I checked the rears and they over 1/4" of pad left. I put the front pads back in the box and returned them to Dodge. I am now at 105K miles and wondering if its worth it to check on them. I can no longer take the tires off myself and retorque them; I would have to take it in for inspection.
Do the pads at all 4 corners last quite awhile or is this worth paying to check? I haven't turned the rotors yet. I don't have the shimmy/shake that is felt slowing down when rotors do need to be turned. anyone been down this road?

I am in the same boat you are, 105,000 miles on original brakes & rotors.
Had State Inspection done in March and pads & rotors are still fine.
Heck my original BFG tires still passed inspection with 105,000 miles,
I will be replacing the tires shortly though just for my own peace of mind.

Discount tire rotates tires for free. I look at mine everytime I take my truck there. Im still on the OE pads and rotors too......with 108K now. They look like they will go to 200K.

I one time got 89K miles out of a set of uniroyal tiger paws on an S10 that still had tread left.... Tread seperation is what got them.
Anyway I'm glad I read this because I was going to pull the wheels and check them now at 50K miles I won't worry about it.

I got about 100K on front tires and 125K on rears. Rotated them about every 30K. They were original BFG. Have been running Firestone and they seem to be doing good so far. Changed brake pads at 150K. Could have gone further but I don't like to screw up good rotors for the price of pads. About 35K of this was towing Fiver across a lot of mountains.

I got well over 200K on my factory brakes but I also pulled a 53' trailer most of the time also. At 262K I am just now noticing that the rotors need to be turned.
The thing is with Manual Trannys and the Tow Haul Engine Braking of the 48re the brakes never really got a work-out on my trucks....... Being that brakes are allot cheaper to replace than clutches and auto trannys we should all start using the brakes more
