1 piece drive line???!!
These guys at Doghouse are quick----owner got back to me right away---even me being up here in the great white north(-30C today)gave me a total price with shipping from the manufacturer/supplier to help save on some shipping costs---one is on the way.DW
I just got off the phone with Doghouse about the driveshafts and he doesn't have a solution. He didn't know the automatic shaft is longer than the manual but now he will pass that info along to others as well. He said they aren't making the shafts or altering them, just passing along the stock ones for the newer trucks. That means that right now the only solution for us NV5600 guys is to get the stock shaft and have it shortened ~2" or get a fully custom one. Oh well.

Someone here had one, posted the link, I went and looked it up again... They have about 200 driveshafts it seems!!! 4x4, 2x4, long box, short box, manual, auto.... But they ones for $235 were the big 6" aluminum from Dodge....
I don't know.... Can I search my posts to see where I wrote it??

I gave you the link, it has a phone number to call them.
We currently stock all active Genuine Dodge Parts produced since release. If you need assitance with your Dodge parts order, please call: 800-926-8254 From 8am to 6pm EST M-F
Either use the parts finder, call them up, or go ahead and call some other yo-yo company that is selling the same shaft for $500 and shipping the wrong ones out and refusing returns.
I don't even want a shaft. Mine is fine, but when I saw people were buying the same shaft for less I posted it. Now I've done hours of legwork to help save some people headache and money and I get one guy that takes one part number and slams it saying "that one doesn't fit" well la dee da... They have hundreds of shafts and I'm not going to go out and measure your driveshaft call them up and see if the one they're selling is the same length as yours.

Day 7, really fell off the wagon today.
Promise to apologize to everyone tomorrow.....
Yes, that shaft is for a standard cab 2wd. It is also a smaller diameter, and it's a steel shaft. The problem with seeing just a list of them is that some are steel-which are cheaper, they list each shaft seperately and also as an assembly when it comes to the 2-piece, and some are steel and some are aluminum.
There is NO shaft in aluminum for that price. The single shaft for the same model truck that the shaft mentioned in aluminum is $125 more, so take your price add the $125 to it, and that will be the price you pay for the aluminum replacement.
Unfortunately, you cannot just go by some price and assume anything. I called that link, got the explination I just gave about the pricing. They quoted me the same price I paid from doghousediesel for the shaft I purchased to fit my truck, their shipping cost was also the same.

Tonight though the front passes through and temps drop to 8 below zero and the winds kicks up to 20-30mph. All my beautiful snow will be nasty drifts and bitter cold will reign....
